Dr Indra Kuladhipati is a dedicated Interventional Cardiologist, currently practising in Medicity Guwahati as Head of Cardiology. Dr Kuladhipati completed his initial medical studies (MBBS) from GMC, Guwahati. He obtained the MD (General Medicine) postgraduate degree from GSVM, Kanpur. He then made it through the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in preparation for the DM Cardiology super speciality degree. At AIIMS, Dr Kuladhipati had the privilege of learning the science and art of Cardiology from renowned and accomplished teachers in all aspects of Cardiology - coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, congenital heart disease, heart failure and arrhythmias. He gained experience in transradial interventions from world leaders in this field. Dr Kuladhipati is well experienced in managing all forms of cardiac emergencies. He has vast experience in cardiac catheterisation lab procedures, starting from way back in 2004. Dr Indra Kuladhipati worked for a few years in various parts of the country. Dr Kuladhipati has been striving since 2012 to provide the best cardiac care for the people of North-East India right at their doorstep. He is a pioneer in bringing to the region the transradial angioplasty technique (interventional procedures done via the wrist). He now regularly performs transradial coronary angiograms and angioplasties – both elective (planned) as well as emergency (this is known as primary angioplasty, done as treatment for an ongoing major heart attack). Significantly, 99% of all interventions done at Ayursundra Advanced Cardiac Centre are via the transradial route. Dr Indra Kuladhipati is also adept at the implantation of pacemakers, CRT - Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (device therapy for heart failure), and ICD - Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (device therapy for life-threatening heart rhythm disorders), as well as procedures for valvular and congenital (from birth) heart disease.
